fantastic and durable

i had bought one of these and used it for several months. This is my third type of tally counter. the first one was the traditional mechanincal one that had a steel outer covering. with regular use the steel coating started wearing off so i had to replace it. the next one i bought was a plastic bodied mechanical hand tally counter which lasted only about 3 months before the counter mechanism started either skipping digits or just getting jammed. My next purchase was a digital tally counter from minisciences that looked and felt just like a traditional metal hand tally counter except that this one was totally made of plastic and had a digital display. this too lasted for about 2 to 3 months before the counter button started getting less and less sensitive/ accurate. This Robic one i have used for over 3 months and have now ordered 10 more to hopefully last me atleast for the next 2 years.More detail ...

ready for marathon

I purchased this product because I was looking for something to stow my running gels during the long run. Since there weren't enough pockets in my favorite shorts I purchased new shorts with lots of special pockets everywhere for gels. But that didn't work too well for me. Then when I ran long distance those new shorts would feel like they would drag downward (when they were loaded down with my favorite gels). So I tightened the draw sting and made a knot not too good of a solution either. I developed burns and cut like sores where the draw string cut in deep. There had to be a better solution! ..I guessed it was time for the fanny pack..



But I then happened upon this product by accident on Amazon. I wasn't really impressed with the description and thought it must be a gimmick like so much stuff for sale. Surely most gel users would have one of these if it really worked as described and I've never noticed any runners with them before. I had never even heard of it. But I just didn't want one of those fanny packs hanging around me while I ran the marathon and it was coming up quickly. I splurged on several things for this race that I thought "might" actually become useful this was one of them.



I've always been told to never try anything for the first time during a marathon but I was desperate for something to put my gels in and I got my box of goodies from Amazon just before traveling out to this marathon (Memphis).



My "test run" for this product was jumping up and down with the belt loaded with Power bar gels in it. They didn't fall out and the belt seemed secure. Against lingering doubts I decided to use this gadget for the first time during my full marathon. The marathon was great and the FUEL BELT worked perfect; no gels popped lose or came even close to falling out. I can't say that about stowing gels in pockets they've popped out on me before and during a race.



This Fuel Belt is a great product that should become FAR more popular with marathoners who use a lot of gels during their race. As a plus the race number clips work perfectly and the FUEL BELT logo on the front of the belt is reflective another plus.



tip-- Its going to take you longer to put the gels into the belt than take them out since it grasps them so tightly. Pulling them free is a two handed operation: grab the top of the gel pack with one hand and the belt right besides it with the other hand then tug it ouut it takes a second or two but quicker than digging around in a back pocket. Also Plan on gelling right before or after the water stop not at the same time. Last tip don't try anthing the first time during a marathon. It worked for me.More detail ...

Cheap but you get what you pay for

I purchased 7 of these stop watches for an experiment and selected them because they are the cheapest we could find.



It keeps track of the time date has an alarm hourly chime and of course the stop watch. The lap function on the stop watch works as you would expect.



The user interface is poor changing the time turns the alarm on. There is no indication the hourly chime is on and to turn it of you push lap/reset and mode together. Easy if you know it hard if you don't.



The durability is poor. I left one stop watch in my car in the parking lot for a day. The sticker describing the functions peeled off. Worse the LCD is now only partly visible and the parts that are visible change. Three days later it is still unusable. To be fair I left it in the sun on a 75 degree day but it's disappoint that I am already down one stop watch.



If you want a really cheap stop watch this will work but don't expect it to last and don't leave it out in the sun.

Fuel Belt - great product

I purchased the fuel belt because I was training for a marathon. I did a little research online and decided that this was the best one to go with. I was between the sizes medium and large. I went with the medium and found it was the right decision. The belt will stretch a little especially when you have the waterbottles filled with water. I was a little disappointed with the seal of the waterbottles. If you fill them full and then go running some water will leak which results in you getting little wet spots on your shirt or shorts. I just don't fill the waterbottles past 6 1/2 oz. or so and it seemed to solve the problem. Also the zipper pouch is smaller than I thought it would be. I really wanted to put my cell phone in it but it is too small. I have a (T-Mobile) Samsung T339 and it is barely too big to get the zipper to zip shut. The belt is very comfortable and the straps for the waterbottles are very secure. Other than than the pouch being smaller than I anticipated and weak seal on the waterbottles - I love it! Everything she needed

I bought this for my wife for Christmas. She is the president of our community association and setting up a PA system for outdoor community events was just not practical. Being herd above the crowd was a big problem as she has a fairly soft voice. Good Time Permitting

This product works great I have used it many times to start campfires in the wilderness. Regardless of conditions this will never let you down even if submerged in water just dry it off and it works. The only downfall is that you will need to scrape off a lot of magnesium for it to do any good. So if you don't have a lot of time to spend scraping you're better off with waterproof matches. Excellent EOU very good value

I used this Accusplit Pro Survivor stopwatch for much of the track season (coaching Jr. High track). The ease of use was excellent. I really liked the tactal feedback of the buttons -- no doubt when they are pushed. The buttons are warranted for 5 years and the device is "date coded" so that no receipt is neccessary if you do need to get it fixed.

Fantastic Guide - Best Bang for the Buck on Running Technique

Ken does a really great job of breaking down the basics; strike point leg position cadence efficiency all in a simple format. The graphics used in the production leave a little bit to be desired but they convey the main points to support his philosophies on technique. The way he has broken down the efficiencies is easy to understand and when illustrated with some top national champion triathletes it becomes very obvious what the proper running technique looks like.



I have shaved minutes off my 5k times and now running with much less (none) pain.



I have recommended this to pretty much everyone I run with... especially those that show poor form.
